Incoming grants. 2017 Call

Amount

  • Incoming grants: a lump sum of €42.000 is allocated. This amount includes gross salary together with the contractor social security cost. An additional 9.000€ towards bench fees is allocated yearly.

Eligibility criteria for the call

Application details and documents associated must be filled out and uploaded through the Login or directly at this webpage. Upon registration, users must choose the grant scheme they are interested in and proceed to fill the details and upload the documents as requested in as many sessions as needed by clicking on the SAVE button. When all documents are uploaded (and only when this is done) candidates must click on the SUBMIT button, and get the “Application-Receipt” produced by the webpage by clicking on the “PRINT SUBMISSION RECEIPT” button. This Application-Receipt is the written statement that the documents are duly uploaded.

Very important: all candidates must additionally fill a second document available at: http://www.clarinasturias.es/docs/201053363_solicitud.pdf

Both documents must be signed off, Outgoing grants by the candidate himself and Incoming grants by the legal person of the hosting centre.

At this point Incoming applicants (in particular if they are living outside Spain) should contact their hosting doctor for help in this matter as it is the legal responsible at the institution who must sign it, not the candidate himself. Both documents must reach the Legal representative to be signed at this stage.

Furthermore, all applicants must send both documents either electronically  (Digital certification is mandatory) or in person or by Registered mail before the deadline of the Call (Submission procedures stated in Law 39/2015 referring the Common Administrative Procedure), to the Registry of the Principality of Asturias or through the National Registry. Very important: the application will only be valid if both documents enter any Registry before the deadline.

Evaluation and selection process

The evaluation and selection process starts with the International Scientific Evaluation of the postdoctoral researcher capabilities and the proposed R&D project, carried out by a group of scientific experts selected by the Spanish National Evaluation and Foresight Agency (ANEP).

From this Evaluation process, eligible applications will be those which have obtained a minimum score of 60 (out of 100).

The evaluation of postdoctoral candidates will be made on a merit-based competition, according to the following criteria focused on the excellence of the researchers that are published in the calls:

Incoming scheme:

  • Scientific Curriculum Vitae of the postdoctoral researcher. Scientific and technical capacity (0 – 50 points)
  • Potential Scientific & Technical impact of the proposed research project and feasibility of its implementation in the requested time (0-20 points)
  • Scientific history of the Hosting Group in the research centre (research projects, publications and patents, etc.) in the field of the proposed R&D project (0-20 points)
  • Expected impact and/or incentive effect of the incorporation of the proposed postdoctoral researcher in the growth, improvement and diversification of R&D capacity of the hosting research group (0-10 points)
